Evasion bans have been causing a huge amount of confusion in the community recently due to a few small changes that we have decided to impose. I will be explaining about them.

    Why?
We have decided to make these changes to the way evasion bans are dealt with for many reasons. The main reason is because of how easy it was for the proof of you having a sibling to be forged. By simply making 2 accounts fight each other you could send your friend your password, Resulting in us not being able to tell wether it was your sibling or not. Users could also use hack clients and PvP themselves using kill aura. Thus we have made these changes to the way evasion bans are being settled.

    What's changed?
The main thing that has changed is that once a staff member provides proof of you having another account that is banned on your IP, you will not be able to appeal. You may also not purchase an unban while being banned for evasion. You must wait for a 30 days for the ban to expire. Once this evasion ban had expired you are then allowed to appeal for the account that was permanently banned or buy an unban on the store after asking an Admin for permission. Once you have been unbanned for evasion you will not be rebanned for evasion. If you are, feel free to appeal.

I hope this has made evasion bans more clear your faithfully en5ads.

Why not just have the player provide proof that they have a sibling by sending a picture to a admin?

I dont get this... either that or this can be severly abused

If I was banned couldnt i just get an alt, get banned for ban evasion on the alt for 30d and wait it out, the just play on the alt since i cant be banned again for evasion? This sysetem makes no sense to me

I don't get the new system either.

So I was told that if someone was perm banned for evasion and appeals, they will automatically have their punishment shortened to 30 days. After the 30 days, they get unbanned. What happens after that? Why would someone need to appeal their ban on the main account? Unless they had a donor rank or a miner kit but what about those who don't? What is the purpose of this new system?

At least 30 days before making an appeal for a possible false evasion ban. 30 days.
That's quite a long time to wait (for someone who actually does have siblings on same ip).

    Still can be easily faked.

If you are banned for evasion, you most likely are permbanned on you main account anyways.

This is for old ban evasions that were permanent. They get shortened. We let you appeal on your main account once all evasions on alts have expired. This won't need evidence to back it up, it's at Admin discretion.

The purpose of this was to remove the issue of players having friends act as if they are siblings and pvping them. This happens so often. Also ban evasions only being 30d benefits everyone because it's not a permanent anymore.

If you or your siblings don't break the rules which are located on forums publically for all to see then you won't even have to worry about the evasions. Also if you don't use public alts or buy other people's accounts you won't have this issue either.

I forgot to add in a part (which other servers do) that they must be holding something that proves that it was taken recently like a newspaper showing the date and such.

that's my point... someone could play on their alt after waiting 30d instead of playing on their main that is banned...

If they do, and it's out of your control, are you saying we have to wait a whole month before anything can be done for someone else's mistakes?

But eh, just my 2 cents, I don't even play anymore.

True. This is completely ridiculous. So they are saying that if my sister plays on the server, griefs someone, gets banned. Both ME and my brother will have to suffer...

If you have a sibling with a Minecraft account; you have easy access to evade. I know everyone shouldn't be punished for a select few, but at least this rule would greatly decrease evasion.
